The CAF Disciplinary Board on Wednesday took disciplinary action against three countries for breaching CAF’s regulations during the ongoing CAF African Nations Championship, CHAN.

The three countries are Zambia, Morocco, and Kenya.

CAF charged Zambia with breaching its media regulations during the matchday-one press conference ahead of their match against the Democratic Republic of Congo. Zambia failed to present their head coach at the mandatory press conference and, as a result, CAF found them guilty and imposed a fine of 5,000 dollars.

The African football governing body also charged Kenya with several safety and security breaches during their encounter against Morocco at Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani. CAF found Kenya guilty and imposed a fine of 50,000 dollars.

Finally, CAF charged Morocco with the inappropriate conduct of its players during their game against Kenya and found them guilty, imposing a fine of 5,000 dollars, of which 2,500 dollars is suspended on condition that no similar offence is committed during the remainder of the competition.

DAILY POST reports that all the fines are to be paid within two months of notification of this decision.
