CHAN 2024: We will face Home Eagles with respect, humility – Senegal coach

Senegal head coach, Souleymane Diallo has said his team will approach the clash with Nigeria with humility, and respect, DAILY POST reports.

The holders will begin the defence of their title against Eric Chelle’s side at the Amman Stadium, Zanzibar on Tuesday (today).

The West Africans struggled in their friendlies in the build up to the competition.

Diallo stated that his team’s first main objective is qualify from the group.

“We are not here to defend the trophy in our keeping, we came to try to win another trophy, but for that we have to set the first objective which is qualifying from the group,” he told a press conference ahead of the Group D encounter.

Sudan, and Congo Brazzaville will clash in the other group game.
