Goalkeeper Ani Ozoemena and left-back, Abdularafiu Taiwo stayed on the sidelines as the home-based Super Eagles held a recovery session on Wednesday morning following the clash with Senegal.

Ozoemena, who is the team’s first choice goalkeeper, missed the clash with Senegal due to a knee problem.

The former Enyimba shot stopper was replaced in goal by Lawal Mustapha.

Taiwo picked a knock in the second half against the Senegalese and was replaced by Harrison Uzondu.

The duo are in a race to be fit for Nigeria’s second Group D game against Sudan

The encounter will hold next week Tuesday at the Amman Stadium, Zanzibar.
