Real Madrid and Bayern Munich suffered shock defeats in the Champions League on Wednesday night.

The LaLiga champions, who are the current holders of the trophy, lost 1-0 at Lille.

Jonathan David scored the only goal of the game from the penalty spot.

Vincent Kompany’s men were beaten 1-0 at Aston Villa, thanks to John Duran’s stunning lob.

Liverpool beat Bologna 2-0 at Anfield, with Alexis MacAllister and Mohamed Salah getting the goals.

Ademola Lookman was on the scoresheet as Atalanta crushed Shakhtar Donetsk 3-0.

In other games, Feyenoord won 3-2 at Girona and Benfica hammered Atletico Madrid 4-0.
