Enyimba progressed into the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup after a 3-2 penalty shootout win against Burkina Faso’s Etoile Filante on Sunday.

The second preliminary round tie ended 0-0 on aggregate.

The People’s Elephant converted three of their spot kicks, while Etoile Filante scored only two.

Enyimba will be looking to become the first Nigerian club to win the CAF Confederation Cup.

The Aba giants are the only Nigerian club left on the continent this season.

The draw for the group stage will hold in Cairo next month.
