Victor Boniface has resumed training with Bundesliga club, Werder Bremen, DAILY POST reports.

Boniface moved to Bremen on a season-long loan from Bayer Leverkusen on deadline day.

The 24-year-old was in a buoyant mood as he trained with new teammates for the first time.

The striker will, however, have to wait until the end of the international break before making his debut for Bremen.

Boniface was not invited by Nigeria for their upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and South Africa.

The former Union Saint-Gillloise player was initially named in the 31-man provisional squad.
