The Kano State Fire Service has confirmed the death of two persons in a building collapse that occurred in Nomansland Faage Local Government Area of the state.

The Public Relations Officer of the service, Saminu Yusif Abudullahi, said two persons had been rescued alive so far and taken to the hospital, while two were dead as the rescue operation continued.

He explained that the incident which led to the collapse of the building occurred on Thursday around 2am during a heavy downpour.
