Buhari: First Lady departs Abuja for Daura
The First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu has left Abuja for Daura, Katsina State, to attend the state funeral of former President Muhammadu Buhari.
DAILY POST gathered that the First will be joined by other high-ranking government officials and dignitaries who have converged on Daura for the burial rites.
The remains of the late former President is scheduled to arrive in Katsina by midday on Tuesday (today) from London with the interment set to take place in Daura later in the afternoon according to Islamic rites.
Former president Muhammadu Buhari died on Sunday in London after an undisclosed illness.
There have been encomiums from different quarters in the country and outside Nigeria.
The federal government and governors of the North Western states declared Tuesday public holiday to honour the ex-Nigerian leader.
In the same vein, while the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, shut its headquarters, the opposition coalition, African Democratic Congress, ADC, suspended any political activities across the country for three days to honour the former president.
