BREAKING:Senate Asks Wike To Halt Demolition Of Buildings In Abuja

The Senate has asked the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike to halt further demolition of buildings in the capital city until further notice.

The directive followed a resolution sequel to a motion sponsored by Senator Ireti Kingibe who represents the FCT.

The President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, who read the resolution during Thursday’s plenary, however, clarified that the Senate’s directive to the FCT Minister did not affect buildings that are presently being litigated in courts.
