Board extends deadline for Immigration, Civil Defence, others recruitment

The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board, CDCFIB, has announced an extension of the application deadline for its ongoing 2025 paramilitary recruitment exercise.

In a statement released on Sunday by the Secretary to the Board, Maj. Gen. (Rtd) A.M. Jibril, the Board said the recruitment portal, originally scheduled to close on Monday, 4th August 2025, will now remain open until Monday, 11th August 2025.

According to the statement, “This extension is geared towards providing additional opportunity for applicants willing to be enlisted into any of the Paramilitary Services as well as the Board.”

Applicants were reminded that the official application portal remains “https:// recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng,” and the Board emphasised that the recruitment process is “free of charge” and will be conducted in a “fair and transparent” manner.

This latest announcement comes two days after the Board issued another advisory to applicants who submitted their details before the recruitment portal was recently upgraded.

According to the earlier statement dated 1st August 2025, “all records for applicants who submitted their details prior to the recent upgrade can now be accessed via https://update.cdcfib.gov.ng”.

The Board advised such applicants to verify their details and complete the process, noting that “upon successful completion, an application slip will be generated with the same Application ID previously generated”.

It further clarified that the updated portal does not support new applications.

“If you have submitted a new application after the upgrade, your latest submission will override any previous entries and will not be visible on this update portal,” the statement added.
