Birthday party: Barcelona’s Yamal faces legal action for hiring dwarf entertainers
The Association of People with Achondroplasia and other Skeletal Dysplasias in Spain will take legal action against Barcelona winger, Lamine Yamal for hiring people with dwarfism as entertainment for his birthday party.
Yamal celebrated his 18th birthday on July 13, and reportedly hired dwarfs to entertain guests at his coming-of-age party.
Spanish outlet, AS cites the Association of People with Achondroplasia and other Skeletal Dysplasias, which addressed dwarfism and highlighted the issue.
“The Association condemns the involvement of people with dwarfism for entertainment purposes at Yamal’s celebration and will take legal and public action,” the organization stated in an official release.
Yamal was brilliant for the Blaugrana last season as helped Hansi Flick’s side won the LaLiga title and also the Copa del Rey.
The Spain international is expected to wear Lionel Messi’s iconic No.10 shirt at Barcelona for the new season.
