BBNaijaS10: Ebuka Puts Housemates On The Spot, Faith Wins Most Influential Housemate

Ebuka Probes Housemates

This week’s Big Brother Naija live show may not have produced an eviction, but it delivered drama, tension, and revelations as host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu grilled housemates on their relationships, alliances, and unspoken feelings.

From denials of romantic interest to emotional confessions and heated clarifications, the housemates were forced to lay bare what they had kept under wraps.

One of the most heated moments came when Ebuka turned to Mensan about his situation with Ivatar. Mensan refused to discuss it, but while Ebuka kept circling back to other housemates, Ivatar and Mensan were caught in a fiery altercation, trading words across the room.

Earlier, Ebuka pressed Rooboy about his closeness to Thelma. He dismissed speculations, saying they were “cool and just friends”. Similarly, Tracy denied ever admitting she had a crush on Koyin, insisting she never made such a statement.

Faith, crowned the most influential player of week 5 (an opportunity that guarantees him immunity for the week), found himself in the spotlight when Ebuka pressed him on his bond with Joanna.

Faith could hardly contain his admiration, describing Joanna as “absolutely stunning”, intelligent and the only person he enjoys dancing with in the house.

“She’s amazing. One of the people I have really, really good conversations with,” he declared, sparking whispers among viewers in X about where the friendship might lead.

Isabella, meanwhile, opened up about her struggles since the exit of Kayikumi, admitting that missing him had affected her emotionally. “He was someone I got comfortable with to get over missing family. Missing him was really, really bad for me,” she confessed, though she vowed to keep pushing in the game.

Ebuka then turned to Joanna, who was quick to shut down speculation about any love triangle involving Jason and Faith. “Jason is my friend, nothing more. Faith is also my friend. Nothing more,” she insisted.

Tension also resurfaced between Big Soso and Dede, following their infamous clash. Ebuka challenged her on why she had labelled her a prostitute during their altercation and whether he held women to a different standard than men.

Big Soso denied calling Dede a prostitute, blaming her outburst on anger and insisting it was never a gender issue.

“It was an inherited issue; I had no business being inside. I apologised because I didn’t mean those words,” he said.

Morgan added spice to the night when asked about his outside relationship. Rather than give a straight commitment, he admitted his focus had shifted inward: “Yes, my mind is with her in the house. Whatever happens outside, I’ll figure it out, but right now, this is my moment.”

Elsewhere, Mide defended his friendship with Dede, clarifying that it was mutual and not one-sided, while Kola was forced to explain why he once called Koyin a “Chihuahua”. He insisted it was only a joke, though Ebuka teased, “You guys must really like animals in that house, sha.”

Romantic undertones carried through when Jason described his bond with Sultana as “beautiful”, though he denied it would blossom beyond friendship. Sultana, however, kept her guard up, revealing she had distanced herself from Koyin to avoid fuelling narratives she wasn’t comfortable with.

By the end of the session, Ebuka’s interrogation had left the housemates rattled, with alliances tested, friendships redefined, and tensions spilling over — none more dramatically than the unresolved clash between Mensan and Ivatar.

THE WHISTLER reports that despite the probing questions, the night ended without eviction. But the housemates were dealt a blow on Friday after losing their wager, raising the stakes as they head into another week of uncertainty.
