The Big Brother Naija Season 10 eviction show on Sunday night delivered an emotional twist as Doris, Ivatar and Big Soso were evicted in week six of the reality television series.
Out of 19 nominated housemates up for eviction this week, their exits reduced the number of housemates vying for the grand prize and left fans rethinking the unpredictable dynamics of the competition.
Among the evicted housemates, Doris as observed by THE WHISTLER stood out as one of the most vibrant and competitive contestants of the season.
From actively participating in tasks to trying her best to put herself forward, she quickly established herself as a strong personality in the game.
However, she was occasionally caught in gossip circles with Sultana and a few other housemates. Despite this, her eviction came as a surprise both to the contestants and viewers, many of whom believed she had the charisma and drive to reach the final stage.
Big Soso, who was known for her motherly nature and often acted as a comfort figure in the house, had a notable clash with fellow contestant Dede after she accused her of referring to her boys as “three fishes.” Despite her nurturing character, the conflict exposed another side of her personality, making her both admired and criticised by viewers.
Ivatar, on the other hand, struggled to fully connect with her fellow housemates throughout her stay in the house. Her aloofness occasionally placed her at odds with others, and she also had a clash with Mensan, which further highlighted the tension in her interactions.
Following the eviction, host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu addressed the housemates with a pointed reminder about authenticity.
He noted that several contestants only seemed to express themselves on eviction nights, saying it came across as performance rather than genuine feelings.
He urged them to “be real, have fun, and stop waiting until Sundays to speak their minds,” stressing that nothing in the game was predictable and that the show was fast approaching its final stretch.
