Bandits strike Hurya village, kill, kidnap residents in Katsina
Bandits attacked Hurya village in Kankara Local Government Area of Katsina State on Thursday night, killing some residents, injuring many others, and kidnapping several people, including seven housewives.
This was revealed in a post shared by security analyst Bakatsine on X on Friday.
According to the post, the attackers attacked the village around 11:00 p.m.
During the attack, some villagers were shot dead, while others were left with injuries.
The bandits also kidnapped several people, including seven women who were taken from their homes.
“Yesterday night, bandits attacked Hurya village in Kankara LGA, Katsina State, shooting sporadically. They killed some people, injured many people and abducted several people including seven housewives during the attack,” Bakatsine wrote.
At the time of this report, the exact number of people killed or abducted is yet to be confirmed and security forces have not yet released an official statement regarding the incident.
