Bandits kill two, abduct four in fresh attack on Katsina community
Two people have been killed, four others abducted, and two injured after bandits attacked Dungun Mu’azu community in Sabuwa Local Government Area of Katsina State on Wednesday night.
This was contained in a post by a security analyst, Bakatsine on X on Thursday.
According to the post, the attackers invaded the village in the night, opened fire on residents.
During the attack, two people were killed, two others sustained injuries, while three women and an infant baby were abducted.
“Yesterday night, bandits attacked Dungun Mu’azu community in Sabuwa LGA, Katsina State. They killed two people, injured two people, abducted three women and infant baby during the attack.
In a separate report, Bakatsine also disclosed that Gidan Gona village in Tafoki district of Faskari LGA came under attack on Thursday afternoon.
A fierce gun battle broke out between the bandits, local vigilantes, and members of the Community Watch Corps (CWC).
The clash reportedly led to the deaths of several security operatives and civilians, with more people feared abducted.
“Yesterday afternoon, bandits attacked Gidan Gona village in Tafoki district, Faskari LGA, Katsina State. A fierce gun battle with Vigilantes and CWC left several Operatives and civilians dead, some injured and many abducted,” Bakatsine wrote.
Authorities have yet to release official statements on the two incidents as of the time of this report.
