Ballon d’Or: Cubarsi names Barcelona player to win award

Barcelona defender, Pau Cubarsí has backed teammate, Lamine Yamal to win the Ballon d’Or.

Yamal finished in eight position in the 2024 Ballon d’Or rankings.

The Spain international also won the Kopa Trophy for the best young player in the world.

Speaking to RAC1, Cubarsi said the 17-year-old winger has the talent to win the Ballon d’Or in the future.

“Lamine Yamal can win the Ballon d’Or,” Cubarsí said.

“Everyone now sees who Lamine is, but I’ve known him for a long time. He has the skill set required to achieve it.”
