Team Yobe has suffered a 4-0 defeat in their encounter with Team Lagos in their inaugural match at the ongoing National Youth Games, holding in Asaba, Delta State.

The match was played at Saint Patrick College, Asaba, football pitch.

The Director of Sports, Yobe State, Dr. AbdulRahman Ago, and the Technical Team, were present at the venue to support Team Yobe.

Ago acknowledged that the first match did not favor Team Yobe, but he was confident that the team would re-strategize and perform better in their next match against Team Nasarawa on Sunday.

Reports coming out from Asaba also indicated that Team Delta and Team Nasarawa played out a goalless draw in their encounter.

Team Yobe will be looking to bounce back from their defeat and secure a win in their upcoming match.

The outcome of Team Yobe’s next match will be crucial in determining their chances of advancing in the tournament.
