Arteta Hails Arsenal After Man Utd Victory
Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta has reserved special praises for the team’s set-piece prowess following the 2-0 win over Manchester United in the Premier League on Wednesday night.
The Gunners produced an efficient performance at the Emirates Stadium in their 500th game at the iconic edifice.
Juriel Timber, and William Saliba scored two headers from two expertly taken corners to hand the hosts the maximum points.
Arsenal posed a threat from corners as Manchester United defenders struggled to cope with their quality delivery.
Arteta revealed that the team want to be dangerous in every aspect of the game, and he also hailed the will to win.
He said: “We want to be very dangerous and very effective from every angle and every phase of play and we work on all of that.
“Today we could have scored from open play like we did against West Ham, against Sporting, so the team really has that belief that from every angle we have the mentality to (cause) threat to the opponent and to try to score.

“It’s about trying to do it next. Today, now we’ve won four in a row – it doesn’t matter, we have to go to Fulham and be better than them.”
Meanwhile, Ruben Amorim admitted that the set-pieces changed the game.
He said: “We already knew that it would be a tough game. I think the corners changed the game, the set-pieces. Then we lost the momentum, we tried everything then to control the game again. You feel it in the first half, in the environment of the stadium, that we were causing problems. We need to improve in a lot of areas of our game, but we were controlling the game.”
“You learn all the time, it’s not a good thing or a good feeling, it’s really hard. But you have to take the positives and the negatives like in ever other game. So, let’s focus on everything we are doing, recover all the players to be fresh on the next game and go again. Full stadium with our fans and we are going to succeed. We need a little bit of time.”
Arsenal have scored more goals from corners (22) than any other team in the Premier League since the start of last season.
The Gunners have now won four consecutive games against Manchester United for the first time in their history.
Up next for Arteta’s men is a trip to Fulham on Sunday, while Manchester United welcome Nottingham Forest to Old Trafford on Saturday.
