Arewa Youths Applaud Maida’s Reappointment As NCC Chairman
The Arewa Youth Assembly has congratulated Dr. Aminu Maida on his appointment as Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC).
The group’s speaker, Mohammed Danlami, said Maida has driven robust growth and investment, advanced technology, ensured consumer satisfaction, and transformed the NCC’s operations.
He listed the achievements to include NIN-SIM linkage implementation, designation of critical national infrastructure, waiver of Right of Way (RoW) charges, youth empowerment and skills development, resolution of industry debts, data-driven regulation and transparency, and improved corporate governance.
He said, “This is a testament to Maida’s unwavering commitment to excellence, innovation, creativity, passion, and leadership at the NCC. Hence, it is well deserved.
“Since his appointment in October 2023, significant milestones have been achieved under Maida, which include improving national security and creating a more robust database.”
The group praised his accomplishments and urged him to further strengthen the NCC and leave a legacy worthy of emulation.
THE WHISTLER had earlier reported Maida’s reappointment as NCC Chairman and the constitution of the Universal Service Provision Fund (USPF).
Both agencies operate under the supervision of the Ministry of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy.
