APC scared of you – Keyamo tells Gov Mbah

The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, has admitted that the All Progressives Congress, APC, is afraid of Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State, describing him as one of the best-performing governors in the country.

Keyamo stated that APC would be forced to strategise against Mbah, as the governor’s achievements have made it increasingly difficult to contemplate his political defeat.

He made the remarks during the official inauguration of Enugu Air, the state-owned airline, in Enugu.

“I want to mirror what the president said the other day to commission a project. Dr Peter Mbah, you’re in PDP, but we’re scared of you.

“The way you’re going, we don’t know what will happen, and we don’t know how to drop a scheme to defeat you, but we will be planning.

“Beyond party line, we should not be afraid to say it. You have a progressive spirit, you’ve done well for Enugu State, and you’re one of the best performing governors,” he said.

The minister, however, warned the state government against indulging in sharp practices in the management of the airline.

He urged that political interference must be kept at bay to ensure the airline’s smooth and professional operation.
