Another suspected electric cable thief has been electrocuted in Aba, Abia State, the second incident in three weeks.

The unidentified man presumed to be 35 years, was discovered dangling on a transformer stand at Omuma Road of the city, by early morning of Tuesday.

It was not established the exact time the incident happened but a crowd of residents who gathered at Omuma road on Tuesday, suggested that the victim may have been electrocuted in the night while trying to vandalize power installation.

Many of the residents who reacted to the incident at Omuma Road, complained that the activities of vandals were posing major concern to them.

However, some other sympathisers called for thorough investigation into the matter.

DAILY POST recalls that in May this year, a suspected vandal was electrocuted in the Ogbo Hill area of Aba.

On July 24, 2025, another man was electrocuted at Ehi Road in Aba before the latest incident.
