The Minister of Sports Development, Senator John Enoh, has singled out the Super Eagles duo Fisayo Dele-Bashiru and Moses Simon for special praise following Nigeria’s 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier’s 1-0 win over Libya on Friday.

Enoh, in a tweet via his X account after the game, also congratulated Austin Eguavoen’s side for beating the North Africans.

“Congratulations to the @NGSuperEagles of Nigeria on your victory against the Mediterranean Knights of Libya,” Enoh tweeted.

“Tom Bashiru, with a stunner assisted by Moses Simeon, sealed the deal for us. Well done.”

DAILY POST reports that Fisayo Dele-Bashiru scored the only goal of the encounter in the second half.

The match was played at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
