ADC coalition not centred around Atiku, Peter Obi, Amaechi – Ex-SGF, Babachir Lawal

Former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, Babachir Lawal, has disclosed that the African Democratic Congress, ADC, coalition is not about former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi or Rotimi Amaechi.

Lawal said Atiku, Obiband Amaechi have been advised to work together irrespective of their political ambition.

He explained that the aim of the coalition is to pull resources together towards ensuring the defeat of President Bola Tinubu in 2027.

Speaking with TVC, Lawal insisted that the three eminent politicians understand the task.

The former SGF said Atiku, Obi Amaechi and their groups will team up with other members of the coalition.

Lawal said: “The coalition is not about Atiku. I’ve attended meetings tilted towards Obi, Atiku and Amaechi.

“Atiku has never spoken in all our meetings, except the last meeting, where he was asked to speak.

“Peter Obi understands that with his Obedient movement.

“Amaechi understands, and Atiku too; we must have a coalition, get together, join forces, join ideas, and work to defeat this government.”
