Adamawa: Police Launch Manhunt For Catholic Priests’ Abductors
The Adamawa State Police Command has commenced the search for two Catholic priests abducted on Saturday by armed men.
The state police command identified the victims as Reverend Fathers Mathew Dusami of Yola Catholic Diocese and Abraham Samman of Jalingo Diocese.
The police said the priests were abducted after the assailants invaded their residence in Gwaida Malam, Numan Local Government Area of Adamawa State, at about 4 am on Saturday.
The police in a statement signed by its spokesperson, SP Suleiman Nguroje said the police had launched a manhunt for the culprits and rescued the victims unhurt.
The State Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris, condemned the attack and announced the deployment of a special police team to track down the perpetrators.
“The progressive efforts of the command will definitely bring the perpetrators and other persons involved to face the full wrath of the law.
“The command remains committed to safeguarding lives and resisting all forms of violent crimes in the state,” the police said.

The pastors are James T. Kwayang and Ishaku D. Chiwar. were kidnapped at Mbila-Malibu, Fufore LGA of Adamawa.
They are resident pastors in the local council church in Mbila-Malibu.
