‘Act of desperation’ – Anambra APC on Soludo’s visit to Tinubu
The All Progressives Congress, APC, in Anambra state has lambasted Governor Chukwuma Soludo, over his recent visit to President Bola Tinubu.
The spokesperson of the Nicholas Ukachukwu/Uche Ekwunife campaign organisation, Okechukwu Modebe, in a statement, described the meeting as the last kick of a dying horse and a desperate bid to revive Soludo’s political relevance ahead of the November 8, 2025 governorship election.
Modebe said that the latest attempt to posture for the cameras with Mr President could not erase Soludo’s four years of misgovernance, disconnection from the grassroots, and political miscalculations.
“Parading such meetings as endorsements insults the intelligence of Anambra voters,” Modebe said.
The governor, who was elected under the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, had met with Tinubu on August 12 and pledged his support for the president’s 2027 re-election bid.
The state chapter of the APC alleged that the governor was spinning the visit as an endorsement that does not exist, noting that it remains focused on the governorship poll and the August 16 Anambra south senatorial re-run.
