Access Holdings Plc has announced strong financial performance in its recently released first-quarter results for the period ending March 31, 2025.
The financial services group posted impressive growth figures, with total revenue reaching ₦1.38 trillion for the three months. This represents a substantial 41.9% increase compared to the ₦974.24 billion generated during the same period last year.
Net profit also showed solid improvement, with the company reporting ₦182.75 billion in after-tax earnings for Q1 2025. This marks a 14.7% growth from the ₦159.29 billion recorded in the first quarter of 2024.
The quarterly report indicates earnings per share of ₦4.88, reflecting the company’s continued profitability in the current financial year.
Market analysis of Access Holdings’ stock performance shows the shares trading at ₦22.50, resulting in a price-to-earnings ratio of 4.61 times. This translates to an attractive earnings yield of 21.7% for investors, positioning the company as a potentially appealing investment option in Nigeria’s financial sector.
Financial experts note that the significant revenue expansion outpacing profit growth could indicate increased operational costs or strategic investments that may yield longer-term benefits for the banking group.
The Q1 results demonstrate Access Holdings’ resilience in navigating Nigeria’s challenging economic environment while continuing to deliver value to shareholders.
