Abia Vigilantes Arrest Tricyclist For Allegedly Stealing Roofing Sheets

The Abia State Vigilante has arrested a tricyclist for allegedly stealing roofing sheets at the Modern Ceramics in Umuahia North Local Government Area of the state.
The suspect, Onyedikachi Daniel, a tricycle driver from Ahiazu Mbaise in Imo State, was caught stealing aluminium roofing sheets at the ceramics factory in the early hours of Wednesday.
Confirming the arrest to THE WHISTLER, the Senior Special Assistant to the Abia State Governor on Security, Com. Emmanuel Ogbuehi (rtd), stated that the suspect confessed to the crime and revealed that he had sold stolen aluminium sheets to a scrap buyer in Umuahia last year.
Upon interrogation, the suspect said, “I was caught early this morning at Modern Ceramics in Aba road. I came here to take some aluminum roofs and I saw two other people there when I came but they ran away later.
“This is my second time going there, the first time I went there was last year and I sold the aluminum sheets I was able to gather,” the suspect said.
The suspect is currently in the custody of the state Vigilante, and arrangements are being made to hand him over to the Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corp for further investigation.
