Abia Senator Celebrates Ex-Lawmaker Adighije At 80

The Senator representing Abia Central in the National Assembly, Sen. Austin Akobundu, celebrates his predecessor on his 80th birthday, Sen. Chris Adighije.

Senator Adighije marked a significant milestone today celebrating his 80th birthday surrounded by dignitaries, family, and friends.

The event’s church service which took place in Queen Elizabeth’s Hospital Chapel (FMC) in Umuahia, Abia state was a testament to his enduring legacy and the profound impact he has had on the lives of those around him.

In a heartfelt speech, Senator Akobundu praised Senator Adighije for his exceptional leadership, resilience, and focus.

“My Leader sir, you are a mentor and a leader who has encouraged and guided many, including me”, He said.

He also expressed gratitude for the first project he received from the National Assembly, courtesy of Senator Adighije

The governor, who was also in attendance, was commended for his inclusive leadership style, which has brought people together.

Senator Adighije’s 80th birthday celebration was a shining example of this unity, with guests from various walks of life coming together to honour him.
