Abia Secures Hosting Right For 2026 Estate Surveyors National Conference
The Abia State Chapter of the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers (NIESV) has been commended for securing the hosting rights for the 2026 NIESV conference scheduled to be held next year.
The Abia State Deputy Governor, Engr. Ikechukwu Emetu gave the commendation in his office during a visit by members of the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers (NIESV) for the official presentation of the conference flag, signifying the official handover of the hosting rights.
The Deputy Governor expressed the commitment of Governor Alex Otti’s administration to support initiatives that benefit the state’s development.
He encouraged the organizers to make the upcoming conference vibrant and memorable, emphasizing its potential to showcase the state’s progress and hospitality.
In her speech, the State Chairman, Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers, ESV Uche Ikoro FNIVS, noted that the event which will take place in April next year will be the maiden edition of the conference in the State.
She opined that the national conference will unite Estate Surveyors and Valuers, policymakers, and industry stakeholders nationwide. It will include keynote addresses, technical presentations, exhibitions, and networking opportunities, providing a vital platform for knowledge sharing and professional growth.
ESV Ikoro thanked the Governor, Dr. Alex Chima Otti, and his Deputy Engr. Ikechukwu Emetu for ensuring that the 2026 conference of the NIESV will be hosted in the State and promised that the institution will make the state proud as the local organizing committee is preparing for a significant conference aimed at fulfilling national expectations and creating a lasting legacy in Abia State.
The Deputy Chief of Staff, Office of the Deputy Governor, Barrister Chijioke Nwankwo was present during the visit.
