‘Abia Rising Again’ – Bourdex Hails Otti’s Revolution As Governor

Former Abia North Senatorial Candidate under the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) in the 2015 general election Chief David Ogba Onuoha Bourdex has commended the Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, for the numerous ongoing transformations in the state describing it as nothing short of a quiet revolution.

In a statement titled “The Revolution Taking Place in Abia State”, Chief Bourdex recalled the dark years when Abia’s infrastructure was in ruins, salaries were unpaid, and the dreams of its people seemed buried under the weight of failed leadership.

According to him, there was a time not long ago when Abia’s roads were wounds that never healed, its cities “wore rags instead of glory,” and the worth of its people was mocked by leaders who failed to see their value.

“We were a people rich in spirit but robbed of vision. A state of merchants and makers, yet treated as beggars in our own markets,” Bourdex lamented.

He, however, noted that Governor Otti’s emergence signaled a turning point.

The renowned industrialist, philanthropist
praised Otti for choosing service over the arrogance of power, stressing that in just one year, visible changes have swept across Abia and prayed that the current transformation will deepen, endure, and set a standard for future leaders.

He however urged Abians to rally behind the governor to ensure that the vision for a prosperous, dignified, and industrialized Abia is fully realized.

The statement reads, “There was a time not too long ago. When hope in Abia felt like a dying ember. Our roads were wounds that never healed, Our cities wore rags instead of glory, And the dreams of our children lay buried beneath dust and broken promises.

“We were a people rich in spirit, but robbed of vision. A state of merchants and makers, Yet treated as beggars in our own markets. We knew our worth, but our worth was mocked by leaders who never saw us.

“Then came a voice calm but resolute. A man who spoke, not of excuses, but of duty. Who did not promise miracles, but rolled up his sleeves for work. That man is our Governor, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti OFR.

“He came not with the arrogance of power, but with the quiet strength of service. And in just one year, the impossible began to shift:

” Roads once abandoned now stretch smooth as hoped.
Salaries, long forgotten, now flow like justice delayed but not denied.

“The streets of Aba and Umuahia hum again with the rhythm of commerce.

“A vision for industrial parks, clean cities, powered homes No longer a dream, but a plan in motion.

“This is not politics as usual. This is a revolution , Not of noise, but of quiet transformation. Not of slogans, but of visible works.

“And we, the people of Abia, stand as witnesses to a new dawn. A dawn where dignity returns to the trader, Pride returns to the civil servant, And the world begins to whisper,
“Something good is happening in Abia State.”

“Governor Otti, your name is being written, Not just in the ledgers of government, But in the hearts of your people. History is watching and smiling.

“May this revolution deepen. May it endure beyond seasons. And may it remind every future leader that true power is never in thrones, But in service”.
