The Abia State government has called on the people of Old Bende Division to key into the vision of the present administration and work together in building a new Abia.

The Secretary to the Abia State Government, Prof. Kenneth Kalu, made the call while receiving a delegation from the Old Bende Progressive Union, who paid him a courtesy visit in his office.

He commended the group for identifying with him and expressed appreciation for their continued support.

Highlighting the achievements of Governor Alex Otti within two years in office, the SSG noted that the administration has embarked on massive infrastructural projects, including the construction of a modern transportation hub, road rehabilitation, and school upgrades.

He further disclosed that the government is currently training 1,000 Abia youths on leadership ethics and values through the Abia Leadership Academy, in a bid to prepare a future generation of morally sound and self-driven leaders.

Prof. Kalu also pledged his full support for the union’s plan to organize a grand reception in honour of Governor Otti, in recognition of his outstanding performance in office.

Earlier in his remarks, the chairman of the contact and mobilization committee, Chief Jerry kalu, stated that their visit was to show solidarity with the SSG and inform him of the union decision to host the Governor.

He described the Governor’s achievements as unprecedented and praised the administration for the construction of a befitting office of the SSG.

In a vote of thanks, Dr. Etim Okereke appreciated the warm reception and called on Abians to continue supporting the Otti led administration in its drive to transform the state.
