Abia Govt Issues Appointment Letters To Teachers
The Abia State Government has released the official offer of appointment letters to successful applicants of the 2025 Teachers Recruitment Exercise, directing candidates to upload necessary documents between June 5 and June 17, 2025.
This directive was contained in a press statement issued by Dr. Uzomaka Amah-Mbah, Chairman of the Recruitment Committee, on behalf of the Honourable Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education.
“All applicants who have printed their official offer of appointment should proceed and upload their acceptance letter and medical report from 5th June 2025 to 17th June 2025,” the release stated.
The ministry warned that failure to comply with the two-week deadline would result in forfeiture of the offer.
“The portal will not be reopened for upload of Acceptance Letter and Medical Report after the 2 weeks deadline… Those who did not upload would be deemed to have rejected the offer,” it cautioned.
In addition to uploading acceptance letters and medical reports, applicants are also required to re-upload their certificates and update their Local Government Area of residence and residential address online.
The committee further directed applicants who had previously submitted documents to the State Education Management Board (SEMB) or the Abia State Universal Basic Education Board (ASUBEB) to retrieve and upload them online through the official portal.
“All Medical Reports would be verified and any falsified medical report will lead to disqualification,” the ministry added.
The government reiterated that the recruitment process remains strictly digital saying, “All submissions and processes of this recruitment exercise will continue to be carried out digitally (online), no form of physical submission is allowed.”
It also assured candidates that notifications of appointment and deployment letters will be made available online upon conclusion of the current phase.
Applicants have been directed to access the recruitment portal via the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education’s website.
