Abia First Lady Reaffirms Commitment To Healthcare Development
The wife of the Abia State Governor Mrs Priscilla Otti on Tuesday received a delegation from the Abia State Primary Healthcare Development Agency (ABSPHCDA), World Health Organization (WHO), and United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), led by Dr. Kalu U. Kalu, the Executive Secretary of Abia State Primary Healthcare Development Agency.
The advocacy visit according to the Abia first Lady is focused on the upcoming National Immunization Plus Days (NIPD), a vital initiative to provide life-saving vaccines to children against diseases like polio and measles.
Mrs Otti, while addressing the delegation after being briefed on the NIPD and other programs for the year, reaffirmed her commitment to supporting the initiatives.
She also urged Abia citizens to embrace immunization, highlighting the importance of overcoming vaccine hesitancy to reduce child mortality rates.
The meeting underscores her husband’s dedication to improving healthcare in Abia State.
By collaborating with ABSPHCDA, WHO, and UNICEF, the State will make a meaningful impact on the health and well-being of Abia citizens, particularly children.
