Abia Angels Sack Sporting Director
The Abia Angels football club has terminated the appointment of their sporting director, David Chibuzo Silva.
The club announced it in a statement on Tuesday and shared it across social media.
The reason for Silva’s disengagement was not stated by the club.
“The management of Abia Angels Football Club of Aba has terminated the appointment of Mr David Chibuzo Silva as sporting director with immediate effect,” the statement reads.
“The club hereby informs all stakeholders, including clubs, individuals, the league board, and NWFL Premiership club owners, that Mr Silva is no longer authorised to act on behalf of Abia Angels Football Club of Aba.”
Abia Angels failed to qualify for the NWFL Super Six playoff tournament.
They finished the 2025 NWFL campaign in fourth position with 23 points from 14 matches.
