Kebbi State governor, Nasir Idris, has expressed deep sorrow over the death of former President Muhammadu Buhari, describing him as a statesman whose leadership left a lasting impact on Nigeria’s development.

In a condolence message released on Sunday, Governor Idris said he received the news of Buhari’s passing with profound sadness.

“A leader who played a significant role in shaping our nation’s history and left an indelible mark on our collective journey is gone,” he said. “As a nation, we mourn the loss of a statesman who worked tirelessly to serve our great country.”

The governor extended his condolences to the Buhari family, friends, and all Nigerians, describing the moment as a difficult time for the nation.

“My thoughts and prayers are with the Buhari family, friends, and the good people of Nigeria during this difficult time,” he stated.

He also prayed for the repose of the former president’s soul: “May Almighty Allah grant him Jannatul Firdaus and grant his family the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.”
