2027: ‘We stand with Malami’ — ADC legal team visits ex-AGF
The National Legal Support Team of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, on Friday visited former Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, at his private office in Abuja.
The visit, Daily Post gathered, was in solidarity with Malami following his recent defection from the All Progressives Congress, APC, to the ADC.
The delegation, led by M.E. Sheriff, Dr. Al’amin Muhammad, A.I. Garba, I.R. Abdullahi, and Saidu Yusuf, reportedly discussed internal legal frameworks and party strategy ahead of the 2027 general elections.
During the meeting, the team emphasized the need to strengthen legal institutions and promote political inclusion.
Malami, in a brief remark, appreciated the visit and reaffirmed his commitment to justice and national development.
He had on July 3 announced his resignation from the APC, citing dissatisfaction with the government’s handling of national security, the economy, and governance.
The meeting is seen as part of the ADC’s broader efforts to build momentum following a wave of high-profile defections.
