2027: Tinubu creating chaos in any party interested in Peter Obi – Obidient Movement

The Obidient Movement’s National Coordinator, Yunusa Tanko, on Wednesday alleged that President Bola Tinubu is creating problems in any political party former Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi is interested in.

In an interview on AIT Focus Nigeria, Tanko said Tinubu’s administration is working on “Operation do not allow Peter Obi have a ticket.”

He, however, expressed optimism that Obi would clinch the ticket of any political party he runs under.

Tanko said: “This government is very good in creating problems in every political party that Peter Obi’s name has come up. We have already accused this particular government of having a third hand in every political party in order to cause chaos within the system.

“Anywhere the name Peter Obi rings a bell, that is where they are interested in making sure that he doesn’t win. So, we must protect those who are interested in Peter Obi to ensure he wins because its “Operation do not allow Peter Obi have a ticket.”

“But I can assure them that we will have the ticket. The idea is that PDP is interested, ADC is interested in him, Labour Party is still interested in him.

“Our target is that we keep our As together and whenever the time comes we will unleash so that they will not have the idea of what is coming in.

“One thing you must know is that the most popular presidential candidate in Nigeria and indeed for Nigerian interest across the world is Peter Obi, there is no doubt about it.

“So we don’t want to repeat the same mistake in the area of MKO Abiola where a most popular candidate was denied the opportunity of the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, that will draw us back and we will have to come back and start explaining how we lost the election after the man is long dead.

“This time around we have a presidential candidate that is alive, popular, requested, and needed by the Nigerian youths who have not been so much into the politics before but now are interested and give them that opportunity.”
