2027: I don’t know if I’d support Peter Obi – Former SGF, Babachir Lawal

An erstwhile Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, Babachir Lawal, has declared that he does not know if he would support Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 general elections.

This was as the ex-SGF stressed that things have changed.

Lawal stated this while answering questions in an interview on the Monday edition of ‘Politics Today’, a programme on Channels Television.

He was in Peter Obi’s corner ahead of the 2023 election.

“They say a day in politics is long. Things have changed. The parameters we used to evaluate our candidate in 2023 are going to be different this time.

“Things have moved on, so we’ll see when we get there. We’ll see how it goes,” he said.
