Bafana Bafana of South Africa head coach, Hugo Broos, has invited Kaizer Chiefs Thabiso Monyane as replacement for the injured Nyiko Mobbie for his side’s home clash with Nigeria, DAILY POST reports.

Mobbie picked up an injury after five minutes of Bafana Bafana’s matchday seven encounter against against Crocodiles of Lesotho on Friday night.

The defender was replaced by Zuko Mdunyelwa after a nasty clash of heads.

South Africa have witnessed the withdrawal of some of their key players due to injuries in the build up to the clash with Lesotho and Nigeria.

Broos’ side won the clash with Lesotho 3-0 to boost chances of qualifying for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

They will host Nigeria at the Toyota Stadium, Bloemfontein next week Tuesday.
