2026 WCQ: Nigerians react to Super Eagles’ 1-1 draw with South Africa

Some Nigerian football fans have reacted to the Super Eagles’ 1-1 draw against South Africa in their 2026 World Cup qualifier on Tuesday.

DAILY POST reports that an own goal from captain William Troost-Ekong and a strike from Calvin Bassey ensured both teams shared the points in Bloemfontein.

The result means Nigeria remain six points behind leaders South Africa in Group C, with only two matches left to conclude the qualifying series.

Following the match, supporters took to their X accounts to share their thoughts on the game.
