The YPP Candidate for Obingwa, Osisioma, and Ugwunagbo Federal Constituency in 2023 general Election, Hon Ibe Micheal Nwoke has collapsed his political structure(Eziahakaego Movement) to work with Dr Alex Otti.

Hon. Ibe disclosed this at his country home Umuagwula in Obingwa LGA of Abia State, during an enlarged Ward, LGA and Zonal Exco/Stakeholders meeting.

The former ALGON chairman, emphasized that Gov Otti has done well and deserves a second tenure and urged his supporters to support Dr Otti in the 2027 election.

“It is with due sense of honour and statesmanship that I write to formally announce my resignation from the Young Progressive Party, YPP,” Nwoke wrote.

According to Nwoke, his decision followed wide consultations with his associates, friends, and family members.

He also used the occasion to express deep appreciation to the YPP for what he described as a “cordial relationship” during his time in the party.

“I also use this great opportunity to thank the party and, through you, the entire hierarchy of the party for the cordial relationship,” he added.

Political observers note that Hon. Ibe Michael Nwoke remains a strong political voice in Abia politics, particularly in the Obingwa-Osisioma-Ugwunagbo axis. His next move will be closely watched, especially in light of current realignments and growing interest in political inclusivity and youth leadership.

There are already speculations in some quarters that he may be in talks with other mainstream political parties, although no official confirmation has been made.

Nwoke’s departure from YPP comes at a time when many young politicians in Nigeria are reevaluating their platforms amidst shifting alliances and leadership reconfigurations ahead of future elections.
