2023 World Cup Final: Real Madrid strikes deal with FIFA
Real Madrid have struck a deal with FIFA to host the final of the 2030 World Cup, Marca reports.
The Spanish LaLiga gaints have been pushing to have the competition’s final played at their Stadium Santiago Bernabeu.
However, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez and FIFA president Gianni Infantino met in the United States to seal the deal during the ongoing Club World Cup.
The 2030 World Cup will be co-hosted by three nations, Portugal, Spain and Morocco.
It will be the first time that three different nations will host the FIFA World Cup in the history of the competition.
Meanwhile, Argentina won last edition of the FIFA World Cup in Qater.
The South American giants defeated France on penalty shootout in the final following a 3-3 draw to lift the trophy in Qatar.
