₦1bn was approved for construction of Police Training Institute in Jigawa – Senator Madori
The federal government has approved the sum of the one billion naira, N1bn, for the commencement of the onstruction of the police training institute at Kafin Hausa local government in Jigawa State.
The chairman, senate committee on Police Affairs, Abdulhamid Madori confirmed the approval, while speaking at the Jigawa State Government Citizen Engagement Programme (JSGCEP) held at Kafin-Hausa on Sunday.
He said the senate already passed the law for the establishment of the institute in Kafin Hausa and the funds approved in the 2025 budget.
According to him “the construction of a police training institute in Kafin Hausa has undergone all processes and been passed into law by the senate and waiting for president Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s accentuation for immediate commencement of the project”.
He said the aim is to enhance police responsibility for better and up to-date policing in the country.
“As part of our commitment to enhancing security, we also donated a brand new Toyota Hilux to the Kafin Hausa local government divisional headquarter and renovated police barrack to motivate security operatives in the area,” Sen. Malam Madori said.
The senator expressed his gratitude and happiness to the people of Kafin Hausa for the warm reception during the visit and engagement forum.
