‘One Woman One Bra’ Set for Theatrical Release in Kenya This September
The film will have its Kenyan theatrical release on September 19th, 2025, at Prestige Cinemas, Prestige Plaza, Ngong Road, Nairobi.
After a historic run on the international festival circuit, the groundbreaking Kenya-Nigeria co-production One Woman One Bra is finally coming home.
Written and directed by Vincho Nchogu in her bold directorial debut and produced by Josh Olaoluwa, One Woman One Bra has been one of the year’s most talked-about African films. Shot entirely in Kenya by Nigerian cinematographer Muhammad Atta Ahmed, the film brings together talent across borders in a fresh and inventive collaboration.
The release follows the film’s acclaimed world premiere at the Venice International Film Festival and its upcoming international premiere at the BFI London Film Festival, where it will screen in competition for the Sutherland Award for best first feature.
This film was made in Kenya, with Kenyan people, for a global audience, but there’s nothing quite like bringing it back to where it all began, said director Vincho Nchogu.
One Woman One Bra will screen three times over two days at the BFI London Film Festival in October before its wider international rollout, but the Nairobi premiere is set to be a particularly special moment, giving Kenyan audiences the first chance to experience the film on the big screen at home.
