Lojay says it’s unprofessional for artists to criticise Award shows after losing
In a recent interview on Trending on Hip TV, Lojay opined that it’s unbecoming for artists to publicly criticise award shows after they fail to win.
According to Lojay, while it’s understandable to feel some emotions over losing out, professionalism requires that artists don’t go on public platforms to criticise award shows.
“Everybody can get emotional about stuff for particular reasons, and that’s okay. I just feel like at the end of the day, you’re meant to be a professional artist, so don’t let your emotions take control,” Lojay said on the need for artists to maintain a level of standard.
“I don’t think it makes sense to start trashing an award show just because you did not win,” Lojay added.
The singer’s thoughts come off the back of the recent 17th Headies Awards, which drew criticisms from some artists.
The Grammy-nominated singer also talked about his creative process, which he says puts listeners at the bottom of the scale.
