Controversial rapper Darlington Okoye, aka Speed Darlington, has revealed that he has been arrested 19 times.

He also disclosed that he has been detained five times.

The ‘Bangdadadang’ crooner made this known in a freestyle video shared via his social media page.

“5 lockups, 19 arrests, I get game but I no dey hear, when you hear this one, na Kuje,” he raps.

DAILY POST recalls that Darlington was arrested twice in October and November 2024, after mocking Burna Boy’s relationship with the embattled American music executive, Sean Combs, aka Diddy.

He was detained at the Kuje Correctional Facility but was released on January 21st, weeks after he was granted bail by a Federal High Court in Abuja.

Days after his release, Darlington alleged on social media that he narrowly escaped assassination on his way from a club in Lagos.

His lawyer, Stan Alieke, announced that he and his law firm had cut ties with the rapper in the wake of the assassination attempt allegations.

Speed Darlington stated that his lawyer was welcome to leave if he was tired of supporting him.
