Popular Nigerian content creator and streamer, Habeeb Hamzat, popularly known as Peller has sparked a lot of controversy by saying that his ₦100 million savings are totally off-limits, even in the face of serious family emergencies.

Peller revealed this when a discussion over money, savings, and financial discipline took place between him and skit creator Sir Balo.

In the video, Peller discussed his rigorous approach to money management and disclosed that, no matter what, he never considers himself “broke” below ₦100 million.

“I don’t ever allow myself to be broke below ₦100 million. Even if anybody wants to d+e in the family, I won’t touch it. I always make sure my money never drops below ₦100 million.

“There are times I’ll need urgent money when I’m broke and I’ll just take music promotion and ask for like ₦3 million just to do it. But that saved 100million, I won’t touch it, because once you start, you’ll continue spending,” he added.

The comment has sparked a heated discussion on social media, with many people offering their opinions on how to strike a balance between family obligations and financial restraint.

While some contend that upholding stringent financial boundaries is essential for long-term stability, particularly in a difficult economic climate, others contend that the position is overly strict and ignores the realities of family responsibilities, especially in emergency situations where prompt financial assistance can save lives.
