Democracy Day 2025: 10 songs that celebrate Nigeria & inspire patriotism

The tagline “Good People, Great Nation” was coined by the Ministry of Information, led by the late icon Mrs. Dora Akunyili, under President Goodluck Jonathan‘s administration to foster unity among Nigerians.

As the country celebrates 26 years of uninterrupted democracy, it creates a moment to highlight the rich cultural diversity, the ingenuity, creativity, and resilience of Nigeria’s over 200 million citizens.

Here are 10 songs to celebrate Nigeria.

1. Timi Dakolo – Great Nation

The powerful vocals of award-winning singer Timi Dakolo delivered the powerful single ‘Great Nation’, which is a call to action for Nigerians to make their home great.
