Popular Nigerian musician, Mayorkun has stated that Davido, his former record label boss, helped him to secure a deal with Sony Music Africa.

DAILY POST reports that Mayorkun was signed to Davido Music World, DMW, record label in 2016. He parted ways with the label in 2021.

His departure from David’s label to Sony Music West Africa sparked assumption of strained ties between them.

However, speaking in an interview with 3Music TV, the singer disclosed that Davido played a key role in the deal with his new record label.

“Aside from having my label, right now I am also with Sony Africa. Shout out to Davido for that as well, he facilitated the deal,” Mayorkun stated.
