Governor Bago Sacks All Political Appointees, Retains SSG, CoS

Governor Umar Bago of Niger State has sacked all his commissioners, special advisers, and special assistants.
In a statement issued by the Press Secretary to the governor, Bologi, the decision was taken during the state executive council meeting held at the council chamber in Minna, the state capital, on Monday.
The statement partly reads, “the farmer governor announced the decision during the State Executive Council meeting at the Council Chamber, Minna.
“He appreciated them for the services they had so far rendered towards the development of the state and wished them the best in their future endeavours.”
The governor, however, said he has retained his secretary to the state government (SSG), chief of staff, deputy chief of staff, and other principal officers in his office.
